Bondsmen Work to Prevent Youth Crimes
TALLAHASSEE, FL - Owners and founders of the Danzy Bail Bonds Agency, Derrick Danzy and Will Cannon, were concerned about the number of juvenile offenders they were seeing at their business. As a result, they founded Intact Crime Consulting, a charitable group that encourages teens to avoid crime.

Bail Association Dispute In TX
SAN ANTONIO, TX - A dispute at the Bexar County Bail Bond Association will now be heard before the state district court, after questions have been raised about the association treasurer’s financial records. The man who was until recently the association secretary, David Fernandez, who has filed a petition with the court asking that association treasurer John McRae produce financial records and provide a sworn deposition about the financial records of the association.

WA Town Wants to Move Bail Agents Out of Downtown
PORT ORCHARD, WA - Some city officials in Port Orchard want to change zoning laws so that bondsmen would not be able to have offices downtown or would be ineligible for street-level office space in the downtown area. The zoning laws have already been amended to not allow professional services – such as attorneys, for example – to have ground-floor offices. However, bondsmen are considered general services and are therefore exempt.

MS Sheriffs Can Ban Bail Bondsmen
DE SOTO, MS - The Mississippi Supreme Court has decided that Mississippi sheriffs can deny bail bondsmen the ability to write bonds in specific circumstances.
