OK Pushes for Bounty Hunter Licensing

The Oklahoma Association of Bail Enforcement Agents and the Oklahoma Bondsman Association both support the idea of pushing legislation that would require bail enforcement agents in Oklahoma to be licensed.

AR County Requiring Sheriff's Bonds for Felony Cases

Saline County, Arkansas is in the middle of a federal lawsuit with local bail bondsmen after Saline County judges signed a court order earlier this year outlawing payment plans on bail premiums.

SC Jail Releases Wrong Prisoner

A jail in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina released Richard Daniel Wines, an 18 year old white man, instead of his cellmate, a 34 year old black man named Jonathan Jermain Gardener after Wines pretended to be Gardener when Gardener’s name was called for release.

VA Magistrate Forges Documents to Give Bail Agent Dad Business

A local Virginia paper, the Bristol Herald Courier, is accusing Abingdon, VA magistrate John C. “Tiny” Mullins III of forging documents to funnel business to his father’s bail bonds company.
