Bail on Wheels

CLARKSVILLE, TN - Bail Busters Bail Bonding LLC now has a mobile office to raise awareness about bail bonding. The company has rolled out its new car - a black and red half-ton conversion E-150 Ford van – to replace its stationary office. Bail Busters notes that the new office will make it easier to take care of clients' bail bonding needs. The van comes equipped with a stereo system, printers, paperwork, Internet and computers – everything bondsmen need to help clients. The exterior of the car also acts as an ad for the business. Bail Busters asserts that the mobile response unit marks a new era in the bail bond industry.

Bondsman Robbed at Gunpoint

FAIRFIELD, CA - An employee at a bail bond business in Fairfield was robbed at gunpoint. Authorities are looking for two suspects in the case. The two suspects entered the business and confronted the bondsman and the two customers inside of the business. The suspects ordered the customers and bondsman to the ground, and demanded money. When told they was no money, the suspects robbed the two customers of their personal cash. The suspects fled on foot.

Former Corporation Bigwig Has Trouble Finding Bondsman

BLAINE COUNTY, ID - Gary Rapport, once head of the Ketchum Community Development Corporation has been having problems getting out of Blaine County Jail. Rapport needs to post a $150,000 bond to get out of jail, but local bondsmen are unwilling to take the risk. A bond that high requires property for security and Rapport does not appear to own any. Rapport was arrested for allegedly failing to appear on a 2002 felony burglary charge.

Teenager to go From Probation to Bondsman?

KINGSPORT, TN - Brandon Wayne Bentley, a teenager who was recently placed on probation as a result of theft charges, has applied to become a bondsman with A-Hood Bonding Co. Allyn Hood of the bail bond firm has filed a petition to allow Bentley to be an agent at the company. The court has not decided whether to allow the teen the authority to act as a bail bond agent and will look at the case in six months.
