Sobriety Checkpoints Can Mean Ad Opportunities for Bail Bond Companies |
EVERETT, WA - Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire wants laws that would legalize sobriety checkpoints. Checkpoints, while potentially useful in preventing drunk driving, are largely unpopular. One way that the potential new law could generate funds, get less backlash and prevent drunk driving is with bartender “tips.” Already popular in states with sobriety checkpoints, bartenders offer customers maps of checkpoints and offer to call a cab. The maps are paid for by advertisements sold to taxi companies, lawyers and bail bondsmen. These businesses get their information out to people who need their services.

Bail Bond Firm Can Get Back Money |
BRIDGETON, NJ - Allegheny Casualty Company, a surety company working with AA Bail Bonds may be able to get a $50,000 bond back. The bond was posted for Munir Faswala in a drug case. Faswala broke the terms of the bail bond company's agreement before attempting to leave the United States. After this first attempt to leave the country failed, a representative for the Allegheny Casualty Company asked a New Jersey Superior Court judge to vacate the bond, issued a warrant for Faswala's arrest and alerted authorities of the flight attempt.
