Dodge Bail Bonds |
COLUMBIA, MO - A recent profile of Dodge Bail Bonds showcases the bond agency of George Dodge. Originally, Dodge Bail Bonds covered Missouri’s 114 counties and employed 76 agents. Today, the company has focused on mid-Missouri and employs 20 agents. Dodge is the oldest continually active bail bondsman in Boone County. Dodge refuses to let his agents carry guns or even tasers. He finds the practice too dangerous and attributes his own current health to his refusal to carry a weapon. In more than two and a half decades in the bond business, Dodge was only in two altercations and he credits this to his view on weapons.

Law Enforcement and Bail Bond Agents Innovative on the Job |
A recent article on Officer.com points out that law enforcement and bail bondsmen often use the tools of their trade in innovative ways because of money or time constraints. For example, some MP3 players allow professionals to tape conversations while undercover. Cell phones can double as personal voice recorders and some radios can allow undercover bounty hunters to communicate without interfering with police scanner and without being heard by others. Even a remote control helicopter toy can be used in surveillance along with a wireless camera.
