South Carolina Bondsman Gives Interview About His Duties |

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC - Jimmy Robinson works for his family’s bail bond business. Robinson believes, from his decades in the industry, that it is the bondsman's responsibility to keep tabs on defendants. Robinson notes that it is a bondsman's job is to make sure defendants appear in court. In order to do so, a bail bond agent must ensure that the defendant lives at his actual address and works where he claims to work.

Bondsmen Lose One Of Their Own |

AUSTIN, TX - Richard Hodges recent passed away at age 85. He was a well-known bail bondsman in the Austin area, during the '60s and '70s. Hodges was a frequent visitor to the courthouse and frequently interacted with everyone in the community. Hodges was known for his impeccable honesty and for the respect with which he treated people. Throughout the years he also came to know some celebrities, including singer Willie Nelson and Texas Governor Price Daniel.

Bounty Hunters To Head Caylee Search |

ORLANDO, FL - The case of missing child Caylee Anthony will get a boost from bounty hunters, who are offering their services to search for the girl. Texas EquuSearch and bounty hunter Leonard Padilla will be in Florida and will act as leaders for the search. Anthony went missing and her story immediately captured headlines because her mother did not report the disappearance for a month.

BRODHEADSVILLE, PA - The recovery agency Wargod Inc. is accused of being involved in the storming of an elderly home. The agency was operating without certification by a court system and therefore illegally. The men who entered the assisted living facility were not licensed bondsmen. Now, those men are claiming they were duped by their Wargod employers. The owners of Wargod, Lawrence Colon and Kelly Hefferon allegedly convinced their employees that the agency was legitimate.

Lord Chancellor in Britain Denies Need to Change Laws |

LONDON, ENGLAND - In Britain, some members of the press and the public have been calling for changes to bail laws after a number of criminals executed vicious attacks while released on bail. Lord Chancellor Jack Straw has now spoken in the matter, claiming that there is no need to change bail legislation, but there is a need to enforce bail conditions more strictly.
