PHOENIX, AZ -- Last week, Jerice Hunter made headlines when Andrew Wirtjes from Regulator Bail Bonds refused to post her bail and took to social media to urge other bondsmen to also not bail Hunter out. Hunter was accused of child abuse. Her daughter is missing and local police believe the child may be dead. Wirtjes objected to the fact that bail in the case was set at only $100,000. This week, Hunter was released after it was decided that the child abuse charge would not be filed. A Maricopa County Attorney Office officer announced that authorities want to investigate the case further before deciding what charges may be appropriate. According to news reports, Hunter remains a suspect in her child’s disappearance.
