Bondsman Weighs in on Accusations Against Mayoral Staffer
SHREVEPORT, LA -- Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover’s former assistant Rick Seaton is facing charges of rape with his trial on those charges beginning this week. Seaton is accused of luring an 18-year-old woman he met at the Independence Bowl on December 27, 2010 to the mayor’s office and sexually assaulting her. The woman had been drinking and her boyfriend had been placed in jail. At one point during the night, says Louisiana bondsman Jonathan Long, the woman approached him at the jail and asked for his help in bailing her boyfriend out of jail. Long told her he could not help because the boyfriend and the woman were not from Louisiana. Long also claims that the woman told him that the “detective” she was with had touched her in an inappropriate way.
